Participation in the SPIGF

In 2023, our university took part in the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF) - one of the largest energy events in Eastern Europe, bringing together over 15,000 participants from more than 30 countries, including representatives of leading energy corporations, government institutions, and research organizations. The forum serves as a major platform for dialogue, strategic partnership, and the exchange of cutting-edge ideas in the global energy industry. Our team was invited to the event as part of the university press delegation, responsible for covering the sessions and engaging with key speakers and corporate representatives.

As part of the forum’s academic program, students were divided into research groups of five to seven members, each assigned to analyze one of the participating companies. Within each group, students selected individual research topics related to their company, ultimately presenting an analytical report that combined academic rigor with practical relevance. The project aimed to enhance our ability to conduct applied research while developing a deeper understanding of real-world business operations in the energy and financial sectors.
